TERROIR
Cafayate is an exquisite sub-region located in the south of the Calchaquí Valleys. Standing at 1700
meters|5500 feet above sea level, Finca La Urquiza’s Plot n° 9 delivers an authentic high end Cabernet
Sauvignon from the Calchaquí Valleys. Its sandy alluvial soils, irrigation from the Andes, high sun
exposure, low humidity and broad thermal ranges make Finca La Urquiza a terroir that is unique in the
world.

WINEMAKING
✓ Pre-fermentative macerations take place at 8 °C in French oak vats.
✓ Indigenous and selected industrial yeasts are used for the alcoholic fermentation at temperatures
between 26°C and 30°C.
✓ A brief post-fermentation maceration process is carried out, totalizing 25 days.
✓ The malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrelsfor 15 months

Concentrated spicy nose, with red pepper standing out. Oak, dark chocolate and sweet cassis.
Palate
Full bodied, with ripe tannins and a presence of black fruit and chocolate. Some delicate oak. Long and elegant persistence.
